Canadian author, health and safety professional, creator of TTP, and writer of more than 1,000 articles across a wide range of subjects.
The work behind the writing
Donald’s writing grew from a simple habit: looking past what a situation appears to be and asking what is really happening underneath.
For more than three decades, he has worked in safety, leadership, operations and high risk environments. His professional experience has brought him alongside senior leaders, regulators, technical experts, frontline workers and safety teams, with a focus on how real systems behave under pressure.
That experience became a large body of writing. Donald has written more than 1,000 articles across numerous subjects. His published work includes OHS Canada, where he has written about safety, leadership and the conditions that allow problems to form before consequences make them obvious.
Today his work moves between fiction and nonfiction. The subjects may look different, but the underlying interest is remarkably consistent: truth, people, pressure, preparation, faith, family and what becomes possible when reality is finally faced.
One body of work
Donald’s work crosses genres because the questions he writes about cross real life too.
