The House Where Truth Went Quiet

A Story About Love, Silence, and the Cost of Keeping a Family Together

A house can become quiet without anyone choosing silence.

About the book

What this book is about.

The House Where Truth Went Quiet begins around a white wooden house on Bell Street in Pembroke, Ontario, and tells a completely fictional story about a family that has learned how to live around what it does not say.

When Eleanor Mercer receives a letter from Jonah, the son who has been gone for twenty-seven years, the story the family has lived with begins to lose its authority. What follows is a novel about love, silence, faith, regret, forgiveness, belonging, and the cost of asking one person to carry what everyone else refuses to face.

This is Book One of the three-novel Truth Series, built around ten truths carried through story rather than instruction.
